3 arrested in Kenora for drug trafficking
The OPP’s Kenora Street Crimes Unit has arrested three people as a result of a drug trafficking investigation.
On Tuesday, with the help of the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Treaty Three Police, a traffic stop was conducted, as part of the on-going police investigation.
Two people were initially charged and the OPP executed a search warrant at a local residence, where another person was arrested and charged.
In all, police seized methamphetimes, hydromorphone, MDMA, cell phone, two firearms, Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking.
The estimated street value of the drugs is about $4,300.
A 48-year-old man, a 41-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman, all from Kenora were arrested.
Two of the people face drug trafficking charges while a number of firearm charges have also been filed against two of the suspects.
They will appear in Kenora Court on March 9th on the charges.
