3 Integrity Commissioner reports brought to Dryden council
Dryden city council continues to deal with several Integrity Commissioner reports.
This week alone, council heard the findings of three reports.
Councillor Ritch Noel is the topic of two of the reports and requested the other.
“I have to ask; are we not weary of this being the topic of council meetings for the last year-and-a-half or more,” Noel told Dryden city council Monday night.
“I mean this is getting old. So, I have to ask, when is this witch-hunt going to stop.”
The reports either found there was no violation of council’s Code of Conduct, or that violations were already dealt with.
CAO Roger Nesbitt adds that this is getting very expensive for the city.
“We’re now up to a tally of close to $294,000 to deal with councillor Noel’s misconduct. Councillor Noel needs to take accountability for this. And because of that, tonight, I’m calling on councillor Noel to resign.”
Noel emphatically stated he would not resign and suggested Nesbitt should resign instead.

A fourth Integrity Commissioner’s investigation has been requested by Mayor Jack Harrison against councillor Noel in a Notice of Motion he presented Monday night.
