42nd annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Ride returns with new twist
The 42nd annual Toys for Tots Ride supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Campaign is set to take place, and it’s going to look a little different this year.
New to the event is the addition of classic cars joining in on the ride.
Bikes and classic cars loaded with toy trucks, dolls, stuffed animals, games, and other toys will make their way across town to deliver their gifts.
Participants will gather at Thunder Bay Harley-Davidson between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The ride will leave at 1:00 p.m. with the bikers and cars travelling through the city to The Salvation Army’s Journey to Life Centre on Cumberland St., arriving around 1:25 p.m., where they will present their gifts.
Financial donations are also being accepted.
Anyone not able to participate in the ride can drop off donations at The Salvation Army Journey to Life Centre before the ride.
All bikers and classic car enthusiasts are welcome to join.
The toys will be distributed to children in Thunder Bay during this Christmas season through Salvation Army programs.
This ride is supported by Northern Ontario Classic Cruisers and many Thunder Bay riding associations, including Shot Gun Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Superior Riders, Road Angels, and Harley Owners Group.
