More honours for two paramedics from the Rainy River District
Two paramedics with the Rainy River District Paramedic Services have been presented with King Charles III Coronation Medals.
The medals to Raphaël Desautéls and Syed Ali were presented by Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Kevin Holland in a small ceremony at the Atikokan Paramedic Station.
A release says the two paramedics are recognized for their dedication to patient care and for providing a high standard of service and teamwork.
“This is a well-deserved honour for Raphaël and Syed, states Joshua Colling, Chief of Rainy River District Paramedic Services, in the release.
“Their actions reflect the professionalism and compassion that define our service.”
“Their dedication and compassion exemplify the best of Ontario’s paramedics and the vital role they play in keeping our communities safe and cared for,” adds Kevin Holland, MPP for Thunder Bay-Atikokan.
The paramedics were presented with bravery awards last year for their role in rescuing a person from a 2023 house fire in Atikokan.
