Dryden Agriculture Fair planning on new building
The Dryden Agricultural Society is proposing to build a $750,000 structure on the fairgrounds.
It’s described as a horse barn and will house livestock during the show and have space for other events.
Roger Nesbitt is the CAO for the City of Dryden and says they have applied for funding through the Community Improvement Plan.
“The team over at the Agricultural Society do a lot of fantastic things for the community,” Nesbitt told Dryden city council recently.
“This multi-use build would enhance their services in the community and provide a larger event venue.”
Nesbitt is recommending city council should approve the CIP grant.
“Knowing what the Dryden District Agricultural Society does in the community and the region, I think this is a very valid and meaningful application and I would recommend that council consider full support.”
Under the CIP, the Agricultural Society is applying for funding for planning and the building permit.
