Coney Island to get a new playground
Coney Island is the next location to get a full playground makeover.
Design work is getting underway for the fully accessible playground.
It will include all new equipment, rubber matting and an accessible play area.
Funding for the project comes from the Ministry of Employment and Social Development. the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and the City of Kenora.
The city is also partnering with the Kenora Rotary Club on the playground.
The new playground is expected to open sometime in 2026.
