Fort Frances Sports Hall of Fame supporting 2 local organizations
Two Fort Frances groups are benefiting from the Fort Frances Sports Hall of Fame.
Sports Hall organizers have split $3,000 between the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 in Fort Frances and KidsSport.
They say both are dedicated to giving kids the opportunity to participate in sports activities.
KidSport provides support with registration fees and equipment costs for families in need.
The Legion has helped individuals and teams take part in events.

“These donations unlock exciting opportunities for local youth to explore recreation, boost their confidence, and create unforgettable memories,” a release states.
“It’s all about keeping kids active, connected, empowered, and passionate about their potential.”
The money is proceeds from the last two induction ceremonies that have been sold out.
This year’s event at the La Place Rendez-vous was the 5th induction ceremony, and welcomed three athletes, one builder, and two teams to its hall.
All of the inductees are on display at the Memorial Sports Centre.

The next Induction ceremony is set for September 23, 2028.
