Extreme cold continues in Northwestern Ontario
Another cold day is in the forecast across Northwestern Ontario.
Extreme cold warnings remain in effect for regions on Monday, including Thunder Bay, Fort Frances, Kenora and Dryden.
Environment Canada says windchills around -40 are expected, but temperatures will moderate throughout the day and remain below normal for much of the week.
Extreme cold poses a risk for frostbite and hypothermia. Make sure you cover up if you have to be outside.
Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially in cold, windy conditions.
Watch for colour changes on fingers and toes, pain, numbness, a tingling sensation, or swelling. If present, move indoors and begin warming
