Dryden man charged with fleeing scene of collision
A collision early this morning on Highway 17 east of Kenora has resulted in several charges against a 41-year-old Dryden man.
Around 1 am, the Kenora OPP were made aware of an accident involving two tractor-trailor units near Hawk Lake.
There were no serious injuires, but while one driver remained at the scene, the other drove off east towards Dryden.
Police located the commercial motor vehicle matching the description of the truck involved in the collision and determined the driver did not have a valid driver’s license.
He has been charged with driving while suspended, careless driving and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
He was held for bail court due to the recent amount of driving he’s been doing while his license was suspended.
