3 people injured in 2 separate snowmobile collisions
Three people had to be taken to the Winnipeg Health Sciences Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries due to two separate snowmobile collisions near Kenora.
The accidents took place one day apart earlier this month.
The most recent collision was reported on Long Pine Lake on February 15th, near the Manitoba border.
The OPP say a 61 year old man and a 35 year old man were injured in the crash.
The Kenora OPP, the Falcon Beach RCMP, and Manitoba EMS responded to the collision.
Police say helmet use and rider proximity were factors.
The other collision took place on Catherine Lake, south of Minaki, on February 14th.
In foggy and low visibility conditions, a snowmobiler struck a hardened snowbank along the ice road.
