Kenora celebrates Winter Weekend of Wonder
Kenora’s winter carnival is taking place this weekend.
It’s being called the Winter Weekend of Wonder.
Morgan Seller is Kenora’s Special Events Coordinator and says things get underway Friday night at the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion.
“We’re inviting everybody to come down between 5:30 and 7 pm,” says Seller.
“We do have the Kenora Rotary Club providing free chili to keep warm. There will be some firepits and right before the 6:45 fireworks, we’ll have the Starr Blazers Fire Show.”
Seller adds that Saturday and Sunday will also be full of events.
“Most of it will be in the Rabbit Lake area. Of course, the ski hill is open that day. And I just want to mention on the Saturday, there is the Matiowski Winter Market happening at Seven Generations from 10 until 2.
The event at the Lake of the Woods Speedway has been cancelled.
