Thunder Bay set to strut for Grace Ministries
The Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk kicks off Saturday afternoon.
Proceeds from the family-friendly walk raises critical funds for Grace Ministries, a non-profit that offers shelter, meals and spiritual support for the homeless in Thunder Bay.
“This event is about more than just walking, it’s about coming together as a community to support those who need it most,” says Event Director Gary Macsemchuk. “Every step taken and every dollar raised makes a real difference right here in Thunder Bay.”
Participants can choose between a 2 kilometre and 5 kilometre route. Organizers will provide a light meal as the event wraps up.
Grace Ministries has surpassed its fundraising goal of $100,000. As of Friday, 47 teams totaling 402 walkers are ready to go. Registration is still open for those looking to participate.
The walk is scheduled for 2:45 pm at Summit Church.
