The 55th Juno Awards streams live this Sunday
The Junos is right around the corner, airing this Sunday! It streams live from Hamilton at 7 p.m. local time and is available on almost every CBC platform: CBC Gem, CBC TV, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Listen or CBC Music’s YouTube channel.
This year, Mae Martin is hosting. You might recognize Martin from the hit show Wayward on Netflix. It was a big deal when it first came out and if you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend it. It’s a mix of thriller, drama and mystery.
Back to the nominees, it’s gonna be tough competition. Justin Bieber and Tate McRae kind of took over the year. Justin Bieber with his two back to back albums, Swag and Swag 2. Tate McRae her hit album, So Close to What with songs like “Sports Car,” “It’s ok im ok,” and “TIT FOR TAT.” But there’s also other competition with the Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, Daniel Caesar, Cameron Whitcomb and more.
Some future news for 2027: the Junos will be held in Winnipeg, marking the third time the city has played host. Would you be willing to make the trip to see the Junos in person when the time comes?
