Construction starts today at Central Park
Parts of Central Park will be off limits starting today.
Sections of the green space are being upgraded.
That means certain areas are being fenced off as construction begins.
The city says the play area will remain open at this time, but may have to close later.
Work includes paved trails, a paved parking lot for the Central Community Club, a shade structure, drainage and surface improvements.
A new slack line play structure is also being installed.
