Destination Cape Breton makes exploring the Island easier
Finding new attractions and activities in Cape Breton is now at your fingertips.
Destination Cape Breton released a mobile app, an AI chat companion called “Margaret”, and an interactive itinerary planner.
The app includes a waterfall locator, curated tours and trails, and real-time updates to help discover everything the Island has to offer.
The initiative is part of a larger strategy to increase a visitor’s length of stay and how much they spend on-Island.
Cape Breton Island’s tourism industry could add $125 million annually to the Island’s economy if guests extend their stay by one day.
“On this Island, there are no strangers – only friends we haven’t met yet. This suite is a digital extension of that,” says Terry Smith, CEO of Destination Cape Breton. “The more of our Island a visitor discovers, the longer they stay and the richer the experience is for everyone, visitors and residents alike.”
They Visit Cape Breton app is available to download, Tuesday, in the Apple and Google app stores. The AI widget and itinerary planner are now live at VisitCapeBreton.com
