RIDE check program in Emo nabs man for violating previous court sentence
A Fort Frances man is facing charges after being stopped at a RIDE check in Emo.
Provincial Police say the 63-year-old had initially failed a breathalyzer test.
A further check into the man’s background led OPP to discover that the alcohol consumption violated the terms of a previous conditional court sentence.
Along with charges of impaired driving and breaching the court order, the man had his driver’s license automatically suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for a week.
The man remains in custody on the alleged breach of the conditional sentence order, pending a court hearing this week.
