OPP responds to two boating collisions on Lake of the Woods
Boating season is in full swing, and already there have been a couple of collsions reported on Lake of the Woods.
One took place at the south end of Devil’s Gap when two vessels hit eachother.
The OPP say alcohol was a factor and one of the drivers was served a seven day licence suspension.
They have also been charged with operating a vessel in a careless manner.
The other accident took place near 12 Mile Portage on a rainy, windy night last weekend.
A boat had struck a reef and injuries were reported.
Police say they lost contact, and by the time they able to resume communications, the occupants were able to make it to Kenora and were taken to hospital for treamennt.
