Are the winter blues getting to you?
Winter “blahs” or February funk: there are plenty of phrases to describe February. Would you say February is the worst month of the year? Perhaps Valentine’s Day makes up for it, but for those without a date, it can feel like the worst month ever.
If you are feeling the slump just four days into the month, here are a few tips that could make a difference in your day, at least from my experience. Music…it makes all the difference. If you don’t really have any songs that are sticking with you right now, try browsing through artists’ discographies. I bet you’ll find something you like, and then you have a couple new songs to indulge in.
Getting enough vitamin D and sleep is also vital to feeling rejuvenated throughout the day. Some foods with an abundance of vitamin D are fatty fish, eggs, mushrooms, cow’s milk and even soy milk if you need a substitute. If you still aren’t getting enough, there are always supplements to help.
