Atikokan resident killed in New Year’s Day snowmobile collision
A resident of Atikokan has died following a snowmobile collision in that community.
Provincial Police say it happened on the Saturn Avenue extension on New Year’s Day at around 11 a.m.
A 22-year-old was taken to Atikokan General Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
The OPP’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team is helping with the investigation.
