Couchiching First Nation prepares for upcoming election
Members of Couchiching First Nation will vote for a new band council this year.
The election of chief and six councillors is scheduled for March 5th.
A nomination meeting for candidates is scheduled for January 22nd at Couchiching’s multi-use facility from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Mail-in nominations will be accepted, but must be in the hands of the community’s electoral officer by the day of the meeting.
Those nominations must also be accompanied by a completed and signed voter declaration form.
