Dryden Community Table staying put
The Dryden Community Table will maintain their services at First United Church.
The organization has signed a lease with the new owners of the building.
Chair of the Community Table, Lindsay Burry says it’s important to maintain continuity for their program.
“Very thankful to not having to be moving and trying to find new space, because this space has been working for us,” says Burry.
“We’ve been there since 2022, when we first started and so all of our patrons are familiar with the location and volunteers are familiar.”
Burry adds that it’s also important that they continue their programming uninterrupted.
“We offer meals twice a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 4 pm until 6 pm. That will be how we continue moving forward. The goal is always to grow and always provide more services. For the time being it will be for those two nights a week.”
Burry says the Dryden Community Table is entirely staffed by volunteers, so they are encouraging anyone in the community that wants to help out, to contact them.
