Dryden reports staff turnover lower than national average
The City of Dryden actually does quite well, when compared to the national rate of staff turnover.
Roger Nesbitt is the CAO of the city and delivered a report on voluntary staff turnover.
He says the national rate was 11.9 last year, compared to only 6.1 percent in Dryden in 2024.
“We are below the average for voluntary turnover rate,” Nesbitt told Dryden city council recently.
“But where we do see a significant amount of voluntary turnover rate is within our seasonal positions.”
Nesbitt points out that even this year, where the numbers are higher, the voluntary staff turnover is lower than the national average.
“In 2025, it’s shown at 10.2 percent. So, how does the city compare to that? Well, the city of Dryden has seen a voluntary turnover rate of 7.9 percent.”
Nesbitt says in many cases the voluntary staff turnover is because the individual has left the city.
