Expect a big jump at the pumps in N.B. tonight
The pain at the pumps just keeps coming for New Brunswick drivers.
An industry source says the price of regular self-serve gas will jump eight cents a litre Thursday night.
But there’s some good news for anyone who uses diesel.
The same source says the maximum price of diesel is going to drop 15 cents.
That’s after back-to-back days of big spikes because of the interrupter clause.
The maximum prices in New Brunswick are currently at $1.42 per litre for regular gas and more than $2.16 per litre for diesel.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from about $1.48 to $1.52 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.91 and $1.96 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the maximum prices are just over $1.62 a litre for regular self-serve, $2.12 per litre for diesel and $1.69 per litre for home heating oil.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
