Fort Frances takes next step in proposed roundabout
The town of Fort Frances has started to search an engineering firm that will work on the detailed design of a roundabout.
It is proposed for the Central Avenue intersection at 2nd, 3rd and 4th streets.
Council agreed to conduct detailed design work last November after a traffic study suggested a roundabout would be the best option to deal with the intersection’s traffic flows.
Bids will be accepted until the end of March.
The study estimated construction costs to be as high as $4.7 million.
