Holiday closures in Saint John and surrounding areas
Holiday hours are in effect for the rest of this week in Saint John and surrounding communities.
Saint John City Hall, as well as town halls in Quispamsis, Rothesay and St. Stephen are closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The town office in Grand Bay-Westfield is closed from Christmas Eve at noon until Jan. 2 at 8:30 a.m.
Saint John Transit will stop service after 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, with no service on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Public libraries in the region are closed through Boxing Day.
Garbage or recycling normally collected on Thursday in the Greater Saint John area will be collected Saturday this week.
The Saint John City Market is open until 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
All Saint John arenas are closed on Christmas Day. Free public skating will be available at the Stewart Hurley and Peter Murray arenas from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and at the Stewart Hurley and Charles Gorman arenas from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Boxing Day.
