Kenora 50/50 reaches record breaking jackpot
With just one day until the grand prize draw deadline, the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation’s Holiday 50/50 has surpassed $40,000.
The winning ticket will be drawn on New Year’s Eve at 10 a.m. CDT. Prior to this jackpot, 2025’s highest jackpot was the Summer 50/50 Draw, with the winners taking home $31,335.
Tickets for the draw are available at www.lwdhf5050.ca until the deadline at 11:59 p.m. CDT on December 30. Purchasers must be 18 years of age and physically present in Ontario.
“We’re delighted and thrilled with how big this jackpot has grown over the last month,” said Mira Trebilcock, Executive Director, Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation. “It will be a very exciting morning on Dec 31 when we call the winner and let them know just how much they’ve won. Additionally, it’s a big win for the Lake of the Woods District Hospital and all who use its services, as the proceeds from these monthly draws continue to support essential healthcare equipment.”
Previous draws have provided funding (full or partial) for equipment such as:
- a Bookwalter Retractor Set for Surgical Services
- Laprascopic Telescopes for Surgical Services
- A Video Endoscope for Surgical Services
- Vital Signs Monitors for across the Hospital and
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for Diagnostic Imaging.
