Kenora launches new MAT program
A new funding program has been announced in the City of Kenora for organizations that are planning to hold corporate events or a convention this year.
Up to $5,000 is available under the Municipal Accommodation tax.
The city says any event that generates overnight stays at accommodations collecting the MAT and creates economic benefit is eligible.
Organizations can apply for up to 25 percent of eligible costs of hosting.
There is no deadline to apply because applications are being accepted on a continuous intake basis until funding for the program runs out.
