More firearms seized from Moncton home after fire
A house fire in Moncton led to the arrest of two men in connection with a firearms investigation.
On March 1, Codiac RCMP responded to reports of a fire at a home on Hows Crescent in Moncton.
Before their arrival, the Moncton Fire Department confirmed the residents had exited safely, but that an unsecured firearm found inside.
When police arrived, they located a handgun equipped with a 3D-printed lower receiver.
Several rifles, additional 3D printed parts for handguns and rifles, and magazines with ammunition were also seen.
A 47-year-old man and a 60-year-old man were arrested at the scene.

The following day, officers returned to the home with a search warrant.
The Codiac Crime Reduction Unit and the Codiac Integrated Enforcement Unit searched and seized multiple 3D printed firearm components compatible with AR-15’s, .223 platforms and pistols, two rifles, a revolver, a replica firearm, an airsoft rifle, multiple flare guns, a crossbow, several extended magazines and various ammunition, a 3D printer, a dozen reels of filament, a laptop, and more.
The 60-year-old man was later released from custody, while the 47-year-old man was also released and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on June 30.
