More pocketbook pain at N.B. fuel pumps
Another day, another increase in gas prices in New Brunswick.
The usual weekly price adjustment by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board happened overnight.
The cost for regular self-serve increased by six cents a litre to a maximum of $1.75.
Diesel is up by 1.9 cents to a maximum of $2.33.
The maximum for furnace oil now stands at $2.26, up 1.8 cents.
It’s the second time in a week that diesel and furnace oil have increased, due to the interrupter clause on Thursday morning.
The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from about $1.74 to $1.78 per litre while diesel is selling for between $2.29 and $2.34 per litre.
On Prince Edward Island, the maximum prices are more than $1.86 a litre for regular self-serve, $2.42 per litre for diesel and over $1.86 per litre for home heating oil.
