Nishnawbe Aski Police bust Thunder Bay trafficking operation
A drug trafficking investigation by the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) has produced three suspects and a large haul of illegal substances.
Through investigating an operation to traffic drugs from Thunder Bay to Nibinamik First Nation, on March 5 NAPS arrested a 36-year-old woman, a 53-year-old man, and a 23-year-old woman from Thunder Bay, following the search of three Thunder Bay residences.
Between the searches and arrests, NAPS officers seized $130,000 in suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia, as well as $34,000 in cash.
All three suspects are facing charges of trafficking cocaine, and two face charges related to the seized cash as well.
The three accused have been released from custody, and will face the courts in May, 2026.
