No injuries in early morning house fire
Members of the Thunder Bay Fire were called to an early morning house.
It broke out at around 4:15 Saturday morning in the 600 block of Vienna Street.
Fire officials say heavy smoke and flame were coming from the home as they arrived on scene.
No one was injured.
The occupants were alerted by smoke detectors and safely evacuated prior to the arrival of fire crews.
A total of six pumpers, one aerial ladder and one command unit were dispatched.
Firefighters quickly initiated aggressive fire suppression tactics inside and out of the structure to bring the fire under control and prevent spread to nearby homes.
The blaze was declared under controlĀ in just over an hour
Officials continue to look into the cause.
