Another outbreak is impacting a Riverside Health Care Facility.
This time, it is a Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) outbreak at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
It is impacting the First Floor In-Patient Unit.
Infection prevention and control measures have been put in place to limit the spread of the illness and protect those receiving and providing care.
Anyone visiting is asked to self-screen and stay away if not feeling well or experiencing symptoms.
Riverside also advises against infants or young children visiting the unit at this time.
All persons visiting the First-Floor In-Patient Unit will be required to wear a medical mask.
Riverside is also contending with a respiratory outbreak at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, which impacts the home’s East Wing.
Visitor restrictions are in place, which limit residents to two visitors or caregivers in their room at any one time until further notice.
