RCMP investigate woman’s death in Moncton
An investigation is underway by the RCMP after a woman’s body was found in a garbage bin.
Officers were called to High Street at around 12:10 pm on Sunday after reports of a sudden death.
Police are considering the death as suspicious, and there’s no word yet on how the woman died.
Early Monday morning, the RCMP conducted a police operation on Norwood Avenue in connection with the suspicious death.
The public may notice increased police activity in the High Street and Norwood Avenue areas on Monday, as the investigation is ongoing.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the NB RCMP Major Crime Unit.
An autopsy is scheduled to confirm the woman’s identity and to determine the exact cause of death.
