Red Lake applauds new mining regulations
The Municipality of Red Lake is applauding the provincial government for new mining regulations.
Ontario has drafted a framework for One Project and One Permit to advance critical mineral development.
Mayor Fred Mota is the vice-president of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and says along with new transmission infrastructure, it will strengthen their community prosperity.
Mota says the new regulations will streamline approvals and will help unlock the full potential of the metals and mining sector not only in his community but across the region.
He suggests that in turn will create more jobs, attract investment, and drive economic growth across the North.
