Two small N.B. earthquakes on April 1

Some New Brunswickers may have felt the earth move slightly in the past month.

Earthquakes Canada registered seismological activity in New Brunswick nine times in March and the beginning of April.

Two earthquakes were registered on April 1.

The highest magnitude was 2.4, at around 3:20 yesterday afternoon, around 32 kilometres north of Minto.

The other, at around 3:12 pm, was reported 22 kilometres south of Doaktown as a 2.2 magnitude quake.

Earthquakes Canada says anything below 3.5 magnitude is recorded by local seismographs, but is rarely felt.
