More charges laid in Moncton woman’s murder

A second person has now been charged in connection with the murder of Melissa Price.

A 36-year-old man appeared in court on Friday. He is facing several charges of being an accessory after the fact of murder and indignity to a human body. He remains in custody with a future court date on March 24.

The body of Melissa Price was found in a garbage bin on High Street on February 15.

A 35-year-old Moncton man was charged last week with first-degree murder in Price’s death.

Moncton woman’s death being investigated as homicide

The investigation into the death of a Moncton woman has now been ruled a homicide.

New Brunswick’s RCMP Major Crime Unit says the body of the 39-year-old woman was discovered in a garbage bin on High Street near a walking trail on February 15.

Police began investigating early Monday morning at a residence on Norwood Avenue in Moncton in connection with the woman’s death.

Police investigating homicide in County Fair Mall area

The Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) has declared that an investigation is underway into a homicide that happened Tuesday evening near the Landmark Hotel.

After a 911 call around 5:30 p.m. about an injured male, emergency services arrived at the scene.

The male was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, where he was pronounced dead.

The TBPS’s Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Investigation Unit are both participating in the investigation.

Police still have a presence at the crime scene.
