The City of Saint John has declared a temporary overnight parking ban for the South/Central Peninsula effective as off 11 p.m. on Feb. 25, 2026, through to 7 a.m. on Feb. 26, 2026. No on-street parking is allowed anywhere in the South/Central Peninsula area.
Any vehicles remaining on-street after 11 p.m. will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense and risk.
Three Saint John Parking lots will be cleared for use by on-street parking residents beginning at 6 p.m.: Peters St., Sydney St., and Vulcan St.
Vehicles must be removed from the above parking lots by 7 a.m. Vehicles remaining in the lots after these times may be towed at the owner’s expense and risk.
The Peel Plaza Parking Garage offers a $5.00 overnight parking rate for nights when a parking ban is declared. This rate is only valid between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following morning.
