Multiple unoccupied tents caught fire at the Marina Overpass Encampment Monday morning.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue says they were able to control the blaze around 5 am.
There are no injuries reported.
Officials say they would like to remind the public not to leave open flame heating units unattended.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a call at a single-floor bungalow on Woodside Street shortly after midnight Wednesday.
Occupants were able to evacuate safely.
An ambulance crew called in the alarm while attending for a medical call. Paramedics smelled smoke and were informed by an exiting occupant that something was on fire.
The fire was reported as aggressive initially, but six pumpers and two attack lines were able to control it. Searches of the main floor and basement were completed quickly thereafter

Multiple emergency response units were sent to a major structure fire at a north side residence Wednesday evening.
The resident of the home on Onion Lake Road evacuated safely, but the house sustained heavy damage.

Mutual aid was provided by the East Gorham Fire Department.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a garage fire on Shipley Street Tuesday night.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the garage around 8:50 pm. No one was inside at the time, and crews quickly brought the fire under control.
Additional units supported the response with water supply and overhaul.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.

Fire Rescue responded to a possible explosion and fire on the first floor of an apartment building just before 2:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Crews saw flames coming out of the six-unit building when they arrived.
Fire Rescue was able to contain the fire to one apartment before knocking it out altogether.
The apartment where the fire started suffered extensive damage.
Damage to the building as a whole necessitated the disconnection of utilities to the building, leading to the displacement of its residents.
No injuries were reported by Fire Rescue in its media release.
The scene is being held for an investigation.
