Thunder Bay resident wins $90,000 on OLG scratch ticket
A weekly routine has helped a Thunder Bay resident go home $90,000 richer.
James Steeves buys an instant scratch ticket every week.
When he was at the store, there was only one of The 90s tickets left, so he decided to buy it.
“I was playing my ticket at home while drinking my coffee, and was hoping to win $90,” he said. “I didn’t expect to win something this big!”
“I posted the news on Facebook to share with my family, friends, and coworkers, and everyone thought it was AI,” he explained.
Steeves plans to invest his winnings and save for his future retirement.
The 90s lottery game is available for $20 a play, and the top prize is $90,000.
Odds of winning any prize on the game are one in 3.75.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Red River Road.
