Some more roadwork projects are set to get underway in Thunder Bay through September.
This year, the city has invested a total of $55 million to fund infrastructure work in 2025, including road rehabilitation, sidewalk replacement, sewer and water main repairs and replacements, and bridge and culvert renewals.
A closure on Court Street South got underway on Wednesday.
The roadway is closed between Fort William Road and John Street.
John Street is also closed between Court Street South and Johnson Avenue.
Water main inspections are taking place.
The project is expected to be complete by Friday afternoon.
The John Street and Balmoral Street intersection is set for some intermittent closures for asphalt resurfacing and repairs to catch basins.
The project is expected to start in mid-September, taking roughly five days to complete.
The city has not announced a starting date for the project.
High Street South is undergoing a full closure between River Street and Van Norman Street.
The project, which got underway on Tuesday, is taking place in stages, starting at River Street.
Sewer, water, curb, gutter, and sidewalk replacements are taking place.
Meanwhile, Archibald Street and Victoria Avenue remain closed to traffic during the demolition of Victoriaville Centre.
