Thunder Bay offering opportunity for residents to connect with city staff

Thunder Bay residents are being invited to an opportunity to talk and meet with city staff in a casual, tradeshow style event.

Thunder Bay Talks is providing residents with an opportunity to speak to staff in a setting where they can move freely between information tables, allowing you a chance to speak one-on-one with staff.

The hope for the event is to give residents a chance to learn more about city services, programs, projects, and initiatives.

The event is taking place on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Moose Hall.

“We are so pleased to host our second Thunder Bay Talks event and feel very encouraged by the positive feedback we received from the community about the inaugural event in May,” said Director of Strategy and Engagement, Cynthia Olsen.

“This has proven to be a great way for Thunder Bay residents to meet face-to-face with City staff to connect and talk about their topics of interest.”

There are no formal speeches or presentations taking place during the event.

However the following initiatives and activities will be highlighted according to the city inclduing:

  • The Smart Growth Action Plan
  • Budget 2026
  • One-stop-shop for Customer Service
  • Local Government Week

The event is also offering a free BBQ prepared by the city manager and staff volunteers, snacks, refreshments, giveaways, and a door prize.

City staff from all departments will be represented.
