Still room to take part in Trunk or Treat

The Fort Frances Public Library and Technology Centre is welcoming more participants for this year’s Trunk or Treat.

The annual Hallowe’en treat giveaway has about 12 trunks registered so far.

The Library’s Chief Executive Officer, Nadine Cousineau, says others wanting to participate should register through the library’s website.

“It’s really the best place to do it because we ask all the questions. We get all the information we need for what you want for your trunk,” says Cousienau.

Cousineau says that treat or cash donations are also being accepted.

Those can be brought to the library.

The annual event has become a tradition with hundreds of area trick-or-treaters attending each year.

Cousineau says it is an event her staff look forward to.

“We get really excited for the event. We love to bring the community together and see everybody get creative with their trunks and what they come up with. And most importantly, it’s just a safe way for kids and families to enjoy trick-or-treating on Halloween.”

Cousineau says they are planning to have other activities inside the library to coincide with the treat giveaway.

They will also be awarding prizes to the best-looking trunks as selected by a panel of independent judges.
