Fort Frances town council is to review today the nominees for its volunteerism and citizenship awards.

The town expanded its awards this year to seven, including new lifetime awards and one recognizing volunteer groups or organizations.

A total of 11 nominations were received.

Some awards only received one nomination.

A committee will first review them before presenting recommendations to council.

The award winners are expected to be announced next month.
