Thunder Bay Resident wins $500,000 on Daily Grand
A Thunder Bay resident’s life changed in a big way after a trip to the gas station.
Craig Pages matched all five main numbers to win the second prize of $25,000 a year for life on Daily Grand on the July 21 draw.
Pages has opted to collect a one-time payment of $500,000 instead of the yearly cash prize.
“I checked my ticket using the OLG app on my phone and realized I’d won big when I heard the winning sound,” explained Pages while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his windfall. “I was in shock!”
The father of two and grandfather of one shared the incredible news with his wife.
“She was shocked as well,” he added. “It still hasn’t really sunk in.”
Pages has not yet decided what he is going to do with the winnings.
