Two arrested in Thunder Bay drug bust
A drug trafficking investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) has led to two arrests and a sizable seizure of illicit substances.
TBPS officers began a trafficking investigation in February, leading to the arrest of two suspects on Simpson Street on Thursday.
The investigation also brought officers to a property on Memorial Avenue.
Between the arrests and the search, officers seized suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, hydromorphone, and oxycodone, with a total value of more than $63,000.
One of the suspects, a 37-year-old from Etobicoke, also had a loaded handgun.
The accused from Etobicoke is facing several charges related to drug trafficking and prohibited weapons.
The second accused, a Thunder Bay local, has been charged with drug trafficking.
