Two people rescued from Thunder Bay Harbour
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue says two people who fell into the chilly waters of Thunder Bay Harbour near the break wall this past weekend, have been released from hospital.
Rescue personnel were called out this past Saturday afternoon around 5:00.
Two people swam to the break wall after their boat had sunk.
Initially, rescue personnel were unable to locate the boaters or their boat.
The two people were found on the outside of the break wall by a Harbor Rescue vessel.
The Coast Guard aided in the search, and Thunder Bay Police were present as well as Superior North EMS
One person was found on shore while the other was partly submerged in the water.
They were taken to hospital, treated and released.
