2 more Fast food restaurants proposed for Dryden
A couple of more fast-food dining options may be coming soon to Dryden.
Both a Wendy’s and another Tim Horton’s are being planned for the west side of the city.
Chief Building Officer Pam Skillen says they have received plans for the property.
“There are 24 spots for parking on there, including two provisions in there for specific parking where you have a truck and a perhaps a boat behind you,” explained Skillen to Dryden city council at Monday night’s meeting.
“So, they have accommodated, what would be, standard or expected traffic in our community.”
Skillen adds that the restaurants would be located on the same property, side-by side.
“If all site considerations have been made and have been reviewed by staff, site development includes building construction, parking and drive throughs, loading zones, lighting, entry and exits to surrounding roadways, and waste disposal.”
The land once belonged to the former Trans-Canada Hotel and Restaurant, which burned down in 2019.
