Eagles win, Muskies and Broncos lose in final regular season WHSFL games
The Fort Frances Muskies have lost their first game of the season in their last game of the regular season schedule.
The Muskies were defeated by the Churchill Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon 35-13.
With the loss, the Bulldogs finish first, while the Muskies are second and the Dryden Eagles are third.
The Eagles tamed the John Taylor Pipers Friday afternoon 47-7 to finish with a 5-2 record.
The Beaver Brae Broncos meanwhile lost a 30-12 decision to the St. Norbert Celtics in soggy conditions at the Tom Nabb Soccer Complex and fall to 2-5.
The Celtics led 15-12 at halftime, but Beaver Brae couldn’t maintain any sustained offense and didn’t score any points in the second half.
The playoffs begin this week, and the Eagles will likely face the Broncos, while the Muskies will take on the St. John’s Tigers.
