Tea & scones raise $425 for Riverside Health Care’s sexual assault programming
A cup of tea was raised earlier this month in support of Riverside Health Care’s Sexual Assault Programming.
It was part of The Pink Parasol Tea Room’s annual Tea and Scones fundraiser.
The event coincides with the month-long Shine the Light campaign, which raises awareness of woman abuse.
It raised $425 for Riverside’s program.
Riverside says the money helps strengthen the program that offers services and a safe, dedicated space for victims of sexual assault.
The Shine the Light initiative also encouraged people to wear purple on November 15th.
The town of Fort Frances kicked off this year’s campaign with a proclamation and a flag raising at the Civic Centre at the beginning of November.
