Blowing snow/icy roads creating treacherous conditions in the Kenora area
Provincial Police are advising to use extra caution while travelling on highways and roads in the Kenora area.
Roads are icy and conditions continue to deteriorate, with blowing snow reducing visibility.
As a result, OPP say officers have been responding to a number of vehicles in the ditch.
They add that motorists may encounter tow trucks operating in the area of Pine Road and West Arm Road.
OPP ask that they slow down and obey any posted traffic control signs or directions from personnel on scene.
Drivers are also encouraged to adjust their driving to the conditions by reducing their speed, creating extra space with the vehicle ahead of them and allowing extra time to reach their destinations.
